Dr Niran Pathmaperuma

One of our more senior dentists is Dr Pradeepa Niranjara Pathmaperuma – but you can call him Niran (we do).

Always ready with a smile for his patients (and anyone else in the vicinity), you’ll find Niran to be an exceptionally gentle dentist – in personality as well as technique.

Niran’s well trained as a dentist. He’s completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Sri Lanka in 1997, and followed it up with a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Queensland in 2001. Niran then went on to work in Stanhope and Goondiwindi in Queensland for two years, before relocating to Canberra in late 2003, eventually becoming a partner here at Curtin Dental in 2005.

Niran’s special interests are Dentoalveolar Surgery and Implant Dentistry. But it goes without saying that he excels in every area of general dentistry, from root canal treatment through to crowns, bridges and more.

He looks forward to provide gentle and caring treatment for all his patients.

What makes Niran smile?
‘I love spending time with my family. By beautiful wife, my gorgeous daughter and two handsome sons! I also love seeing my patients smile – they’re happy, and I get to admire my handiwork. :-)’
