You will be in the best hands possible with an experienced dentist and dental assistant by your side talking to you and reassuring you every step of the way. You will remain conscious throughout the treatment, but will feel more at ease and calm allowing the dentist to give you the best treatment for you. The Nitrous oxide effects wear off immediately and the dentist will ensure you are fully recovered before you leave. However it is suggested you bring a chaperone to get you home.
